Hi, Mona Sorry for the late response We booked it through http://www.idealhotelparis.com/ you can also book it from Bookings.com
It was 89 euros, You can get some pictures in the first site. We planned the trip alone , I don know how easy it will be Paris and London together,. We did Rome and Paris. You can buy online Eurail tickets (they have discounts too). The trains are overnite , sleeper class 240 Euros nearly and they leave from Paris Bercy station. Rome is never too cold and loads to see.Take your food with you , don buy from train management.you will save a lot of money that way. We stayed at Hotel Best Roma and got tickets from Trip Advisor. This hotel is also not at all pricy and near Manzoni station( metro which connects Vatican, Termini etc).Be careful with you luggage.Rome can be notorious. We went in Dec, 09. And get all the transportation details and Travel insurance with you on paper if you need a french visa. They are very strict.
Have a nice trip where ever you decide to go!
Best,
